Personal Profile
Dr. Pamela G. Taylor is Professor Emeritus of Art Education in the School of the Arts at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA. She served on the faculty of the University of Georgia and Radford University, as well as middle and high schools in Montgomery County Virginia. She earned her Ph.D. in Art Education from the Pennsylvania State University at which time she was named the USA Getty Doctoral Fellow. Pam’s years in education were filled with research and publication (over 100 publications, professional presentations, and grants), teaching (local, regional and national awards), and service (editor, curator, speaker, and artist). Currently residing in Greer, South Carolina, Pam quietly continues to make, write and talk about art. Her own art collection is respectable with several notables and interesting contemporary pieces from her travels (particularly Havana, Doha, and Paris). Pam values works of art that draw her in; challenge and inspire her thinking; make her feel, breathe deeply and wonder).
